Mosiah 2:6

"And they pitched their tents round about...every man having his tent with the door thereof towards the temple."
Yes, this is really our tent, and yes, we really camped out on Friday night to get good seats to the game on Saturday. Trust me, I know what you're thinking. "Was it really worth it???" Depends on what time you had asked me. When we got to the Marriott Center at 6 pm on Friday and realized we were approximately the 100th tent, yes it was definitely worth it. At 2 am when I was still awake and listening to the ridiculously loud and immature freshman in the tent next to us? Not worth it. Listening to a girl talking on the phone at 3 am very loudly outside our tent and explaining to her brother how she has high standards and that's why she's not married (come on, honey, you don't need to make up ridiculous reasons why you're not married. You're probably like 18 1/2. Just relax and stop being so uppity and you'll probably have a better chance of getting married.) NOT worth it. Having to pee so badly at 3:30 am but not having anywhere to do so unless I wanted to go home (and I was NOT willing to walk to my car at 3:30 am) so ending up waiting til 6:30 am and going to the RB? Not worth it. Getting into the Marriott Center at 11:30 am and getting 8th row seats? Worth it. Watching Jimmer live for what is likely my last chance ever? Worth it. Having Keesha and Sean tell us they saw us on TV? Worth it. Watching the Cougars be on fire with their shooting and score 102 points? Worth it. Being able to be there when BYU became MWC Champions and listening to Jimmer, Emery, Magnusson, and Coach Rose talk to us after receiving the Championship trophy? Worth it. Listening to the crowd cheer Brandon Davies louder than anyone else when he cut down his portion of the net? Absolutely worth it.

Oh, and being a part of THIS was totally worth it too. This is a different video than the one I posted to Facebook. Check it out!

  1. You are definitely more dedicated than I would ever have been! So glad it was worth it! (for the most part LOL)

I have to know, how did they organize that flash mob! How fun to be a part of that!!!

  2. the flash mob was practiced before the last two games of the season. To get seats in the student section, you had to be there at least 2 hours early, so we practiced the dance then :)
