Taxes and TV's

There's something I really love about this time of year. TAX RETURNS! And this year, with the return of this event, we have welcomed a new addition into our home:
Say hello to our new 55" Samsung. He's lovely, right?

Here's a picture of me next to it (complete with my lovely bed head...I have yet to touch a brush this morning) to reference how large it actually is.
And here's a picture of ESPN. Ahhhh.... it's simply wonderful!

We had a little mishap with the TV... we bought it got home, got the stand for it, and then DJ took the cover off the screen only to find a huge chunk broken out of it... NICE!!! So we returned it, and naturally that was the last one in the store, so we had to go up to American Fork to buy a new one. But all's well that ends well, and this definitely ended well for us! We also got a screamin deal on our TV stand. We went to the RC Willey Outlet to buy one, and we found one that we liked. It wasn't our favorite one ever, but when you buy that big of a TV, you don't have as many options. While we had a sales rep looking that one up for us, we went into the back room, which is the ""Clearance Center." We found the beauty in the pictures above. Regular priced it was $550, and it was clearanced for $330. That was less than the other one we were going to get, so we were sold. DJ went out to get a rep for us, and that's when he saw the guy who sold us our mattress and box springs a few weeks ago. He grabbed him, and the guy (Nicholas Sheffer... if you ever go to that store, ask to work with him), was SO nice, he gave us an ADDITIONAL 30% off our table. So we ended up getting it for just over $200. I couldn't be happier with it! The picture on this TV is ridiculously clear. Really. There is no blurring when things are in motion, you actually see that motion. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's really really cool. Add in the surround sound we got for Christmas, and we're fixin for a great show! So, come on over... Movie night at my place!!!!
